This is one of my favorite sculptures. This woman looks so pensive that I am always drawn to her face. This 16" sculpture is done in temmoku, a speckled clay that gives the piece a wonderful texture and beautiful finish. The bodice of the dress is finished with a white glaze and the skirt and hair are done in red iron oxide.
